The Peer Education Program promotes alternatives to alcohol, tobacco and other drug use and teaches middle school students about responsible decision-making around substance abuse issues.
High school student volunteers, known as Peer Educators, are trained to conduct workshops to teach middle school students to cope with peer pressure and stress and to make healthy decisions.
The program also provides a list of resources that supply additional information, support and counseling in the community.

Treatment Director, Outpatient & Re
The Outpatient Unit provides individual, group, and family counseling in a medically supervised setting. Evaluation of a client's medical status is an integral part of the total treatment process. CARS offers walk in assessment and treatment on demand for drug and alcohol issues.
To address families in recovery, CARS offers a six week program called the Family Rebuilding Program. Anyone who has a family member, significant other, or friend who is struggling with the disease of addiction is invited to join the program for support and education. This program is free, open to the public, and participants do not need to be a client of CARS.
The group meets Tuesday evenings 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for six weeks. The meetings are open-ended, repeating every six weeks. Participants can enter the sessions on any week as the program is continuous.
Clinical Intervention Services are offered based on the best practice Love First Clinical Intervention Model (www.lovefirst.net). This model of intervention which has been designated by Hazelden as a best practice and is defined by one rule: to persuade an individual suffering from addiction to enter treatment while preserving their dignity and worth as a human being. CARS trains and supports the family and other significant people in the addicted individual's life to lovingly and effectively persuade that individual to enter treatment.

Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services Residential Facility provides a drug-free, therapeutic learning environment to provide support and counseling for where substance abusers.
The facility has semi-private dorm rooms for 60, dining and cooking areas, leisure and recreational space, a large athletic field, classrooms, and counseling offices.
The clinical portion of the program is based on the Matrix Model and New Directions treatment programs developed by Hazelden.
The program is abstinence based, highly structured, and requires strong focus and commitment of participants. Residents are involved in numerous structured therapeutic activities such as

Supportive Living Program Supervisor
The Supportive Living Program is a supervised sober living program.
Clients reside in apartments with other Supportive Living client(s). Clients in this program meet as a group, 3 times weekly, participate in outpatient treatment, and community service work, to address daily sober living skills and other issues. Clients also meet individually, at least bi-weekly with the Supportive Living Coordinator.
Supportive living Services has space for 18 clients. Services are provided to single adults as well as single parents with up to two children under the age of 10.
